"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." -- John Adams
Interesting article from Bloomberg on the state of Canadian health care vis a vis our American system. The truth is, despite being held up as an example of how horrible government-run health care systems are, the Canadian system is, at least as good as, if not better, than the American system, at a much lower cost.
On a personal anecdotal level, I know a handful of Canadians, and Australians, and Europeans. And not one of them would trade their system for ours.

The facts are the health care industry and drug companies have the congress in their "financial" pockets. Dems and Reps alike are not going to vote against their own political interests. Politicians for the most part do not give a damn about what is best for the people or the country. I don't know how we can change that. Replacing the incumbents will just breed a new generation of corruptions.
