Yay Vermont!

Way to go!

The Vermont legislature has overridden the hater's veto.

That makes Vermont the first state to enact marriage equality through legislative action.

California did it TWICE but it was vetoed both times by Arnie.

I'm very proud of Vermont and Iowa. Vermont is a beautiful state. The last time I was there was for some leaf peeping in 2001. Iowa is not so beautiful, but I love it anyway right now.

I think that the gay community nation wide should send a short note of congratulations and thanks to the Vermont, Speaker of the House, Shap Smith, speaker@leg.state.vt.us and Senate President Pro Tempore, Peter Shumlin, senprespt@leg.state.vt.us
