I made the mistake of watching Alexandra Pelosi's documentary, Right America: Feeling Wronged, on HBO this morning. It only took about thirty seconds into the damned thing before I was throwing my shoe at the tv.

If you haven't seen it, Pelosi followed around the McCain campaign, and interviewed McCain supporters, during the 2008 campaign.

This documentary will show, in less than an hour, how hateful and ignorant most repuglicans are.

Every person interviewed stated that Obama, if elected, would destroy the United States. Although none of them seem to realize that the Bushies did a pretty good job of that the last eight years.

In typical right-wing fashion, not one of those being interviewed had an independent thought. They just reached through the door into their empty brain and pulled out whatever card Rush Limbaugh deposited there for the occasion.

There were plenty of rants about Obama being a Muslim. Several people swore that, if elected, Obama would take the oath of office on the Koran. How did that work out for you, you stupid fucking idiots??

My favorite, however, was this chubby little 19 or 20 year old. A guy who clearly was gay, and will be hanging out at chub events one day. Here's how it went:

chub boy: Obama's a socialist

AP: Define a socialist

chub boy: I can look it up for you on my I-phone

AP: No, tell me what YOU think a socialist is.

chub boy: Well, um, socialism is between communism and that other thing, but I can't remember the name of it.

It's called CAPITALISM you STUPID FUCKING IDIOT!!!!! I'm not making this shit up. And he's a voter.

Nothing I've seen recently reinforces as much the founding fathers' distrust for the "common man," and why the founders made it so difficult for the "common man" to have any say in the governance of this country. I have no doubt we would be better off if we still ran the country the way the founders set it up.
