I love Canada for many reasons: her kindness, her pleasant and friendly people, her natural beauty, and, of course, her record on marriage equality. I visited Canada many times. I lived along the border with Canada for several years. I got married in Canada.

Frankly, Canada is far more advanced as a society than we are.

But, this seal hunting thing has my blood boiling. Over 19,000 seals have been bludgeoned to death in the first phase of Canada's seal hunting season. And for what? These are not indigenous peoples hunting seal for sustenance. These are commercial seal hunters, looking for fur.

I can't believe such a gentle people would allow such a barbaric practice. Canada, THIS MUST STOP!
