I'm starting to feel a lot more optimistic after watching tonight's debate and the subsequent polls that came out tonight.All the pundits were saying this was a "do or die" night for McCain. He didn't do. Not at all.
It seemed like McCain's answer to everything was "stopping earmarks." What is the cure for cancer? Stopping earmarks. How do we achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East? Stopping earmarks.
At times, he seemed almost crotchety. The worst moment of crotchetiness was when he pointed at Obama and said "that one" while talking about a bill he voted against and Obama voted for. My God, how fucking condescending was that????
Between McCain's crotchetiness and Brokaw's whining about the candidates not following the rules, it's no wonder Obama stole the show. He sat there and smiled. He looked very presidential. Like he had no care in the world.
Let's hope the tide keeps shifting to Obama all the way to election day.
